Mushroom Poppers

After loving the Jalapeños Poppers I made, I was quickly looking for other ingredients that I could fill with cream cheese and wrap in bacon and there it was… The Flat BBQ Mushroom!

 

INGREDIENTS

6 Flat BBQ Mushrooms

Cream Cheese

Bacon

 

METHOD

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a tray with baking paper

  1. Clean the mushrooms and trip the stalk
  2. Use the long, fatty strips of bacon because they cook up better and wrap them around the pepper. The first time I made them I used the less fatty, larger piece and although they were still delicious they didn’t crisp up as well
  3. Place on baking tray and bake for 20 mins or until golden brown and crispy
  4. Serve on their own or as a side

They’re so good… next I’m wrapping halloumi and avocado!!!
